Dream by Thomas Warren
It's the side of me
nobody should have to see.
Hiding behind cheap masks
and even cheaper happiness.
So easily broken
by the touch of a blade.
Icy against my ruby blood,
Warm against my pale skin.
Down and down it goes,
until it hits the vein.
I lay on the ground,
in the spot where you first found me.
Cold and alone.
Broken.
Suddenly,
I'm awake...
I'm alive...
